Pot Pourri evening on St. Martin's

On the evening of August 23rd the members of the Hawkins
and Penny families staying on St. Martin's treated a well attended
Chapel to an entertaining evening. Wendy and Rosemary's mother
was brought up on St. Martin's (a relative of Gladys Perkins)
and attended our chapel before moving to the mainland. We much
appreciated the the performances of a very gifted family. We
enjoyed spirituals, poetry, story telling, instrumentals(recorders)
and solo singing. There was a retiring collection kindly taken for
the preservation work on the chapel (for further details see our
October newsletter).
